These sessions run in half-termly blocks of usually 5 or 6 weekly sessions that take place on your school site. If you are a 2 or 3 form entry school we could run back to back sessions for each class in one day, and possibly offer a discount.
The sessions are planned, resourced, risk assessed and led by an EKO leader with the support of the class teacher and/or TA and can be as closely linked to the curriculum as required.
Risk Assessments are prepared in advance by EKO and copies given to the school. All EKO leaders are DBS checked and have current paediatric outdoor first aid certificates.
Sessions could include: team games, bug hunting, fire lighting, den building, creating bug house, designing natural art, music in nature, bird identification, plant life cycles, treasure hunts, bushcraft activities, clay modelling, nature study, natural paints and other seasonal and location dependant activities.
All children must provide their own weather appropriate, waterproof clothing and footwear.
