Cost: From £125 upwards depending on activities agreed, the length and number of sessions and the number of EKO leaders required.

These special one-off sessions are created just for your pupils and for the younger ones can be around themes such as the Hungry Caterpillar, Stick Man, The Gruffalo or We are going on a Bear Hunt or for greater challenge for the older ones why not have a Bushcraft Survival Day, a Science of Fire day or a Water Day with plenty of Team Challenges and Problem Solving for them overcome.

However, if your teachers have other requests we enjoy developing new ideas and will come in to plan the day with your class teachers to ensure that we are enhancing the learning going on in the classroom as well as demonstrating to your staff how outdoor learning can support their objectives. For example we have done Egyptian Days, American Indian Days, Stone Age Days, Alone on an Island Day and even a Capability Brown Day so we’re open to any suggestions.

The days are planned, resourced, risk assessed by EKO and led by experienced EKO leaders supported by school staff and you can decide whether to hold the day at school or to bring the pupils out to one of our wonderful woodland areas. We can help you develop a suitable outdoor learning area for the day or for long term use.

The day will always include toasting marshmallows over the fire, some great campfire singing and making the most of the season, whatever the weather.

All children must provide their own weather appropriate, waterproof clothing and footwear.
