With 8 amazing years of Ministry of Kids, (MOK), under our belt we felt it was time to develop our very own Holiday Club programme, so here goes!

From Easter 2022 EKO Holiday Club, will take over from MOK. All bookings will be made through the EKO website and all of our sessions will be based at Weston Park, using our dedicated EKO Outdoor Learning Site and Shelter as well as the extensive grounds of Weston Park.

We will be running this new EKO Holiday Club in conjunction with the Holiday Activity and Food programme, (HAF). For those of you new to this programme HAF is a government funded initiative set up to provide support during the school holidays for families who have children eligible for benefits related free school meals. We are delighted that EKO has been able to secure funding from Shropshire & Staffordshire Councils.  If you have received a code for your child, either from your school or through your councils website, places at our Holiday Club will be free.

A hot lunch and healthy snacks are all part of the day. Children will have the opportunity to pick and prepare vegetables from Weston Park’s Kitchen Garden which will then be used to cook lunch over the camp fire. We’ll be mindful of dietary choices and food allergies, but EKO is all about having a go so we will be encouraging children to try new foods. However, please be assured that no one will go hungry!

Our EKO leaders are talented, professional, experienced and kind, outdoor-loving individuals who are ambitious for your children to try out new things, to challenge themselves, to learn about their strengths and to develop strategies to deal with areas that they struggle with. We want them to try new things in different ways and to come out smiling, even when they make mistakes. Every day is an opportunity to make outdoor memories that stay with children for life.
